BUSINESS TRAVEL  

  • Travel is limited to essential travel for project delivery only
  • Where possible avoid public transport. If you can't then please follow covid secure measures on public transport and speak to your site management team
  • If you are working away from home, you should book your accommodation through Capita travel
  • Remember to cancel any non-essential travel bookings on Capita
  • You will need your key worker letter to book accommodation

GOING INTO LOCATIONS

Our projects, depots and offices remain open and our teams must continue to follow all covid secure measures. 

  • If you can, you should work from home
  • Only essential visitors are allowed on our sites
  • All visitors and employees have to complete the health declaration and new ways of working guidance  
  • Don't share e.g. pens, cutlery, crockery etc
  • Speak to your line manager to see how you can avoid travelling between sites or locations in one day
  • You should follow social distancing measures at all times

If you need a key worker letter please contact the People Shared Services Centre - on 03450 404 040 or email peoplequeries@murphygroup.co.uk​​​​​​​. Agency employees should get a letter from their employer

TRAVELLING FOR TRAINING

Only safety and project critical training can take place

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL 

All business travel, both within the UK and internationally, has to be signed off by your line manager. International travel must be agreed with the country MD before you travel.

  • Speak to your line manager for guidance on our self-isolation policies, before you book travel. Line managers should speak to your People Business Partner 
  • Make sure you check the UK government’s guidance on the country you are travelling to – this may be different if you are in Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland. You can sign up for an email alert. Before and while you travel you should check the Foreign Office website: FCO coronavirus advice. We do not support travelling against FCO advice. It may also affect your travel insurance if you decide to do so.
  • Capita Travel have the most up to date information on Flight times and availability , due to daily changes please make sure that you contact the travel team direct and keep a copy of the Capita Phone number 0333 300 1078 in your mobile for assistance whilst travelling if you encounter any logistical difficulties whilst travelling (they offer 24 hour assistance)
