Our apprenticeships are for people of all ages and aren't just for school or college leavers. Our range of entry points means that there are opportunities for those looking to change careers or progress even further in their current career.
We have a range of apprenticeships available across the UK. Typical roles include:
Our apprenticeships last up to five years, depending on the course. They balance practical work and college studies, giving you exposure to some of the most exciting projects we have to offer - right from your first day.
Courses range from level 2 right up to level 6, which means that if you don’t have the relevant qualifications for a specific role, there may be an alternative route.
Whichever apprenticeship you are on, we will support you throughout your journey. You will become a valued member of a friendly team with a skilled mentor to help show you the way. You will be rewarded with great benefits and vast experience across our range of exciting projects.
We will work closely with your dedicated college, university or training provider to create a structured training plan that enables you to learn while you both work and study, providing regular feedback on your progress towards completing your apprenticeship.
The programmes have been designed so you become a key member of our friendly team from day one, helping us to drive safer, greener and more innovative solutions for our clients and communities.
Your programme will start with a warm welcome to Murphy through a detailed induction tailored specifically to you. You will meet our senior leadership team as well as the rest of your apprentice cohort, helping you to build a business network of contacts.
Dependent on your programme, you will attend classes on a day-release or block-release basis with our chosen training providers, working towards a qualification related to your apprenticeship standard, with full access to our online learning resources. As you complete your college work, we’ll ensure that we put you onto real-life work that complements your studies and helps you complete them. You’ll see the things you’re learning in the classroom brought to life.
In addition, you will be supported by your own personal mentor inside the business, who’ll be there to guide you and share their experiences, from the little things, like handy day-to-day tips, to the big things, like how to plan for your future with us.
Finally, our cultural development programme hosts important events and courses which will help you share in our values.
Each of our apprenticeship programmes have different entry requirements, dependent on the level and programme you are applying for (which can be found on our apprentice adverts). However, we ask that for all apprenticeships you must demonstrate the following:
When you join Murphy, you join a team that is committed to protecting the environment for future generations. We are on a mission to improve life through enabling climate action and adding social value in the communities we work.
