Engineering design is fundamental to the successful delivery of every infrastructure project. That’s why, at Murphy, we have an in-house team of dedicated civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical and process engineers, who design permanent and temporary works, across the UK and internationally.

Murphy Applied Engineering

The role and influence of Murphy Applied Engineering (MAE) developed greatly in 2018. MAE is our in-house, independent engineering design team that is consulted by Murphy businesses as well as external clients as a centre of expert advice. Our engineering design expertise has become a valuable asset on complex projects and competitive tenders. MAE delivers a readily available, dependable, high quality engineering design service, and is at the heart of how Murphy can offer clients better engineered solutions to their problems.

What we do

Our years of experience and in-depth understanding of the design process enables us to tailor a project specifically to our client’s needs. From concept through to construction stage, we offer a fully integrated design service, which ensures that our projects are delivered on time and on budget.

We work in and draw knowledge from a wide range of engineering disciplines, including:
