Structural Steel

The Murphy structural steel division in Ireland provides bespoke steel solutions, operating out of our specialist steel fabrication facility at Newbridge.

With a long standing tradition of delivering high quality infrastructure projects since the formation of the company in 1951, it was our specialist welding experience in the gas industry that led to the establishment of the structural steel division.

We provide services to key sectors such as buildings, bridges, civil engineering, marine, pharmaceutical, power and rail. Our dedicated team of twenty-one personnel is composed of structural engineers, draftsmen, welding inspectors, welding engineers, workshop managers, project managers, welders and fabricators. The fabrication facility itself comprises over 1,000m² of floor space with a 12 tonne overhead gantry crane, spanning 60m by 16m. In conjunction with 4,500m² of storage, we can accommodate any size project. The facility is fully CE certified and holds welding certificates in compliance with BS EN 1090 up to execution class 4. The adjoining yard space has sufficient space to carry out trial erection of any bridge.

Our recent project portfolio highlights some of the key projects our steel division has delivered to exacting standards on time and within budget.
