“I’m so honoured to be named on the mixed 4x400m for Tokyo,” Sophie said. “It’s been a rollercoaster few years that have finally led to this once in a lifetime experience. It would not have been possible without my coaches, family, friends and work, Murphy Ireland. Your support has been invaluable throughout this journey. Onwards to Tokyo!”
Sophie is travelling to Tokyo this Friday ahead of the relay heats on Friday 30 July at 8pm Tokyo time – which is 12pm in Dublin.
“We in Murphy Ireland are extremely proud of Sophie and all her achievements to date. We wish her the very best of luck as she represents us all in Tokyo on the ultimate sporting stage. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat,” said Anthony Brennan, Operations Director-Water with Murphy Ireland.
