For the past 13 years Matt has undertaken several Procurement and Supply Chain roles within the construction industry, this was hugely facilitated by his participation between 2007 - 2010 in an integrated and collaborative course of academic study with Severn Trent Water and the Supply Chain. This experience also allowed Matt to achieve CIPS accreditation in 2012.
Within the Procurement and Supply Chain field, Matt has worked with businesses and clients to enable efficiencies through the introduction of strategic procurement initiatives and formal collaborative working practices aligned to ISO4401.
Laura joined Murphy in 2018 within the Group Strategic Procurement team, managing the subcontract framework agreements and supporting functional group goals. Laura then took a secondment opportunity to Murphy Plant to better understand our OneMurphy offering. More recently, she’s moved into our Water sector, initially on the United Utilities Joint Venture with a transition to the Severn Trent Water Framework to join her first Murphy self-delivery project.
Peter joined J. Murphy and Sons in 2015 as part of a Water Joint Venture. He has experience in various sectors within the construction industry and has been in Water since early 2020 working as a material and subcontract buyer. Peter is covering multiple projects in the UK including our AMP7 framework whilst also working towards his CIPS qualification.
Evan joined J Murphy & Sons Ltd in June 2018 and was assigned to the Agility Alliance Joint Venture project which comprises of J Murphy & Sons Ltd and Morrison Water Utilities, working under the Thames Water Infrastructure Alliance.
Evan’s work stream experience ranges through construction, aviation and defence rail, providing cradle to grave project supply and subcontract procurement supply chain management in the UK and overseas.
Mark joined Murphy in 2009 within the rail team, delivering station and platform refurbishment extension works, later covering bridge replacements, footbridge installations and Access for All (AFA) schemes. Mark was seconded to LM-JV (Laing O’Rourke and Murphy joint venture) delivering HS2 enabling works and is heavily involved in ecological mitigation schemes, ancient woodland translocation, invasive species surveys and control and de-vegetation. He recently transferred from our Transportation sector to our Water sector and is relishing the challenge of working in the water industry.
Natasha has been working in the construction industry for 9 years, in which time she has worked in both construction and infrastructure. Natasha joined J Murphy and Sons in 2017 as a Subcontract Buyer in the Transportation sector, ensuring due diligence within the Supply Chain and timely completion of Subcontract Works within the strict possession allowances. She recently joined the Water Sector to assist the Alliance Plus Project, working as a Civils Contract Engineer. Natasha is currently studying for her CIPS Level 6 qualification.
