Project outline

During a six day blockade in early January the mid two spans of the Nazeing New Road Overbridge were demolished and replaced with a precast concrete and filler beam deck.

Prior to the removal of the existing bridge, utilities were diverted into a temporary service bridge and highways improvements were made to alleviate disruption on the near 17 mile diversion route.

Following the disruptive possession works continue under a road closure to replace utilities, reinstate the highway and carry out strengthening to the remaining spans.
