Early works are now officially underway at Lower Thames Crossing, where Murphy is working in joint venture with Bouygues Travaux Publics UK as BMJV to deliver the design and construction of the twin road tunnels under the River Thames, which at 2.6 miles will be the longest in the UK.BMJV was awarded the Tunnels and Approaches contract for Lower Thames Crossing, focusing on carbon reduction, value for money and building a local workforce and supply chain.
