A leading provider of innovative and integrated power solutions

Since 1951, we have delivered power projects involving overhead and underground cross-country cabling, substations, rail infrastructures and renewable energy infrastructures.

Murphy has designed, constructed and commissioned projects for clients including National Grid, SSE and Ørsted on both transmission and distribution networks.

What we do

The majority of our work falls under cabling (underground and overhead) and substation projects, working on voltages from LV to 600kV. In 2018, we acquired Carillion’s power business after it fell into liquidation, offering our team an opportunity for growth.

Our cabling work includes traditional power, new nuclear and renewable energy areas. In recent years, our substation capabilities have increased significantly, and we are now able to offer clients a bespoke design and build service.

What makes us different

Delivery - We are known for delivery; at the end of a project, we always deliver what is expected in terms of quality, deadlines and budgets.

Teamwork - Our collaborative teamwork allows us to work smarter and more efficiently, supplying clients with solutions that not only meet their targets but go above and beyond.

Innovation - We approach every project with an innovative mindset, implementing and exploring new ideas that we can then use in other work.
