What to expect?

Our professional apprenticeship programme has been developed so that you get the best start to your career. The five-year programme combines theory with practical training, meaning you will gain valuable experience across a variety of projects whilst working towards your specialist degree and Chartered status. You will be given full support throughout your journey with dedicated mentors and plenty of fantastic opportunities to learn and grow.

The programmes have been designed so you become a key member of our friendly team from day one, helping us to drive safer, greener and more innovative solutions for our clients and communities.

Learning & development

The programme is designed to give you the perfect blend of on-the-job experience and technical learning to enable you to reach your full potential. You will be fully supported by your line managers, skilled colleagues and mentor. Not only that, but we will work with you to develop you career aspirations and provide you with the opportunities needed to learn and expand your skills in line with your goals. 

To give you an idea of what life will be like, here's how our civil engineering and quantity surveying programmes are structured.

Civil Engineering 
This five-year apprenticeship will see you gain your degree at Warwick University whilst you complete essential practical work with us. Working anywhere in the UK, you’ll get the student experience on a block-release programme: you’ll spend a week in Warwick while you attend lectures, then do 6-8 weeks of related work with us – then back to university again to repeat the process.
 
Quantity Surveying 
On our five-year commercial degree apprenticeship, you’ll study towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, delivered virtually by our chosen provider UCEM. You will be supported in gaining your professional qualification via RICS by our very own Chartered Surveyors.
Entry requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable
  • Flexibility to move around as you may be required to relocate for your role
  • C or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to work hard and to keep learning
