A milestone move After more than three years of planning and problem-solving, our Willesden to Kensal Green Cables project team successfully removed the Quadbooster from Willesden Substation and transported it to its new home at Sundon Substation for National Grid. Given the scale and weight of the Quadbooster, and the constrained urban routes of Northwest London, the move was a complex logistical challenge. It required not just technical expertise, but persistence, and invaluable support from the local councils, Transport for London, Network Rail and the Department for Transport.
