This vital scheme will help reduce storm overflow spills and play an important role in improving water quality in the River Kent.<a href=\"https:\/\/murphygroup.sharepoint.com\/sites\/Greenspace\/SitePages\/NEW-YEAR%2C-NEW-PROJECT-UNDERWAY.aspx#in-the-first-week-of-the-new-year%2C-we-have-officially-started-on-site-at-the-staveley-project-under-united-utilities%E2%80%99-detailed-d\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Responding to a fast-moving request from our customer, United Utilities, Murphy demonstrated speed and agility in mobilisation &#8211; acting immediately under an Advanced Implementation Order and starting work on the first day back after the New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working closely with design partner Jacobs, the project involves upsizing 1.1 km of sewer across farmland, including a river crossing, and upgrading the Wastewater Treatment Works.
