{"id":723,"date":"2022-01-20T11:42:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-20T11:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/?p=723"},"modified":"2024-10-02T16:48:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T15:48:48","slug":"grain-lng-capacity-25-main-site-works-tender-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/staging\/grain-lng-capacity-25-main-site-works-tender-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Grain LNG \u2018Capacity 25\u2019 Main Site Works *- Tender Win*"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>J Murphy &amp; Sons Ltd is proud to announce that we have been selected as National Grid Ventures\u2019 delivery partner to design and build the \u2018Main Site Works\u2019 workstream of \u2018Capacity 25\u2019 &#8211; Grain LNG\u2019s capital expansion and enhancement project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This expansion will be achieved primarily through the installation of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Three Boil Off Gas Compressors along with the installation of a new Local Equipment Room<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two new Submerged Combustion Vaporisers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two new Export Tank Pumps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Murphy Energy team have been working with the Grain LNG team as part of the tender process since March 2021, participating in weekly clarification and negotiation meetings to allow a successful solution to be developed and agreed collaboratively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competitive tender process ran from March to late September before Murphy was appointed Preferred Bidder in October, with Contract Award and Contract Start in November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Main Site Works project will take place in parallel to the construction of the additional LNG storage tank project with commissioning in early 2025 and ready to accept and process the additional LNG capacity from mid-2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a significant opportunity for the Murphy Energy business to support a strategic UK Energy project in the journey towards Net Zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Goke Phillips, Grain LNG Project Director said:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019m delighted to welcome J Murphy &amp; Sons on board.
