Murphy is excited to share that Greek Street Roundabout in Stockport will be reopening in March 2026.
On behalf of our customer, Network Rail<\/a>, Murphy replaced the Greek Street road bridge – which carries a roundabout with four approach roads, and beneath the bridge, five electrified railway lines carry trains \u2013 last year.
The project saw 200 concrete beams on the\u00a0previous\u00a067-year-old structure removed before the new bridge sections were inched into position across a 60m gap above the tracks, with a concrete\u00a0deck poured on top.
It\u2019s successful completion will\u00a0keep\u00a0trains moving safely\u00a0along the West Coast Main Line and will ensure disruption to motorists is kept at a minimum for years to come. You can read more about the project on our case study page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
