{"id":2868,"date":"2024-09-20T22:20:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T21:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/?p=2868"},"modified":"2026-04-21T15:55:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T14:55:29","slug":"ceca-award-win-for-ireland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/staging\/ceca-award-win-for-ireland\/","title":{"rendered":"CECA Award Win for Ireland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"congratulations-to-our-clonmel-wwtp-aeration-basin-upgrade-team,-who-won-the-2024-ceca-excellence-award-in-the-under-\u20ac2-million-\"><strong>Our Clonmel WWTP Aeration Basin Upgrade project team took home the 2024 CECA Excellence Award in the under \u20ac2 million category in Dublin tonight.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/murphygroup.sharepoint.com\/sites\/Greenspace\/SitePages\/CLONMEL-WWTP-CECA-AWARD-WIN.aspx#congratulations-to-our-clonmel-wwtp-aeration-basin-upgrade-team%2C-who-won-the-2024-ceca-excellence-award-in-the-under-%E2%82%AC2-million-\"><\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The project scope for the Clonmel WWTP Aeration Basin Upgrade was to design, supply, install, commission, operation and maintain a new Fine Bubble Diffused Aeration Systems to replace the existing surface aeration systems in the existing four aeration tanks at Clonmel WWTP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Murphy was able to improve the efficiency of the final proposed solution by increasing the depth of the Aeration Basins using an innovative baffle system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The post upgrade monitoring demonstrated a 75% reduction in Energy consumption from 2060 kWh\/day to 500 kWh\/day.
