{"id":1304,"date":"2024-06-04T10:01:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T09:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/?p=1304"},"modified":"2026-04-30T11:28:55","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T10:28:55","slug":"murphy-appointed-to-new-united-utilities-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/staging\/murphy-appointed-to-new-united-utilities-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Murphy appointed to new United *Utilities Partnership*"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">United Utilities has announced a new partnership with seven construction firms as it gears up to tackle its biggest ever environmental programme.&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The North West\u2019s water company has proposed a \u00a313.7bn investment programme for 2025-2030 to deliver cleaner rivers, more reliable water supplies and extra support for customers struggling with bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a competitive tender process, Murphy is one of the seven which has been added to the specialist framework that will help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/staging\/project\/united-utilities-amp8\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.murphygroup.com\/staging\/project\/united-utilities-amp8\/\">United Utilities<\/a> deliver its plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisations will come together with United Utilities to form an integrated enterprise delivery organisation to deliver circa \u00a33bn of major infrastructure and non-infrastructure programmes from 2025-2030.&nbsp; This work would include upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing spills from storm overflows.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian Savory, Managing Director of Infrastructure at Murphy, said; \u201cMurphy has a long-established working relationship with United Utilities which we are delighted to be further developing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur purpose at Murphy is to improve life by delivering world-class infrastructure and we look forward to continuing to serve communities in the Northwest through our active participation in the integrated enterprise delivery organisation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first time that United Utilities has engaged partners in this way. It will allow the organisations to make best use of their extensive expertise to work collaboratively and at pace for the benefit of the North West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Louise Beardmore\/Jane Simpson at United Utilities, said: \u201cWe\u2019re really excited by our proposals for the next investment period. They will deliver a real step change in our environmental performance and further modernise the water and wastewater infrastructure we have here in the North West.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt will be the most ambitious and challenging programme we have ever delivered and that\u2019s why we must be ready to start as soon as our plans are approved.
