Learning & development

Our graduate programme is designed to embrace and nurture your capabilities.

It starts with a warm welcome to the Murphy family and an induction programme tailored specifically to you. You will meet our senior leadership team as well as the rest of your graduate cohort helping you to build a business network of contacts.

Our two-year programme will give you exciting, on-the-job experience complemented by engaging, interactive technical training and soft skills courses to help you develop your leadership style.

Throughout the programme you will be actively working towards your relevant professional qualification.

Rotations are a key part of the Murphy graduate journey, giving you the opportunity to work on some of the UK and Ireland's largest infrastructure projects and a range of sectors, giving you great exposure to the world of construction. Along the way you’ll be mentored by experienced leaders, supported by multi-skilled project teams and we have strong working relationships with several professional bodies. This is critical to helping you get started on your route to chartership.

Working in the community

Our purpose is to improve life through world-class infrastructure. How we engage other communities is integral to that. Opportunities include two annual 'giving back' days, work with community managers and each year we hold a Dragon's Den competition in support of our charity partner - CALM.
