What we do

Our rich construction heritage has allowed us to deliver a vast array of construction and property projects in the UK over the last 60 years.

Typically, the projects we work on span the following four areas:

Residential and commercial new-build developments

We regularly work on residential and commercial new-build developments on a wide variety of sites.

As you’ll see from our case studies, we utilise in-house engineers, infrastructural experience and our own plant to deliver these projects on budget and on time, every time.

Conversion and refurbishment

Another Murphy specialism is large-scale conversion and refurbishment projects- and the Highbury Crescent, Homes for Islington and Prince of Wales Primary School case studies exemplify our strengths.
Our experience, reputation and connections pay dividends in this area, minimising logistical complexity, planning delays and permit headaches.

Modular constructions

We’re also an experienced provider of modular off-site construction solutions for a wide range of clients. An ideal example of our experience in this area is Garfield Primary School and Prince of Wales Primary School.
Our in-house plant, engineers, designers and innovation teams are vital to our strength in this area. They allow us to self-deliver complex substructures without the need for a costly mix of sub-contractors- creating savings that we pass onto our clients.

‘One Murphy’ projects

‘One Murphy’ projects challenge our business to make use of all the skills, capabilities and experience we possess across the company.
These uniquely challenging tasks, like Solstice Point, are typically multi-use sites and present a wide variety of challenges- from demolitions in heavily populated areas and moving hazardous waste, to cantilevering over Network Rail tunnels and preserving historic party walls.
