Murphy welcomes new procurement director

Murphy has announced the appointment of Ian Holcroft as director of procurement who will be joining the business at the start of November.

Ian brings nearly 30 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry. He joins us from the Hinkley nuclear power station project where he has been leading the procurement for BYLOR, a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and Bouygues TP.

David Burke, chief financial officer, said of Ian’s appointment: “I’d like to welcome Ian into his new role with Murphy, he brings a wealth of experience into the role and I believe he will help us take another step forward in developing our supply chain relationships to deliver the ten-year plan.”

Previously Ian spent four years in Australia establishing a procurement function from scratch for Laing O’Rourke and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
